There is much that can be learned through an open dialogue within the classroom. In my classroom there is an emphasis on discussion, engaging each student in the learning and questioning process. I express myself and relate to my students, to allow my students the opportunity to express themselves and relate to one another. My primary interest is in teaching through the creative process of art making. Art is a conversation and provides students a voice. Through the process of creating they learn, wonder, react to, and further identify with the world around them. My responsibility is to provoke their curiosities and nurture their creativity throughout this process.
